In both DeKalb and in Elgin, we will be carrying a giant puppet in the shape of a pipeline. Our message, directed toward all, but especially towards the Enbridge oil company, will be Keep Fossil Fuels in the Ground. Thank you especially to David Stocker and the Northern Illinois Justice League for constructing that puppet.
Our participation in the Global Climate March leading up to the Paris Climate Summit will take the form of a demonstration calling for the US to Keep Fossil Fuelsin the Ground . We will stand on the public sidewalk at the Northwest corner of the intersection of Randall Road and Bowes Road in Elgin, from 1 PM till 2 PM holding banners and signs with that and related messages. That’s at 990 South Randall Road. We will make ourselves visible to passing motorists on that busy corner.read more
On Monday, Nov. 2nd Indigenous leaders, students, and concerned citizens are taking to the streets in Duluth to stop Enbridge’s pipeline invasion. We are demanding Enbridge do full consultation with tribes impacted by their proposed pipeline expansion plans & move forward with a full environmental review.
WHAT WE NEED:
Message amplification – retweets and shares on the day of the action!
Digital recruitment — spreading the word in the lead up to turn people out!
